My Story

My name is Amanda Wilson, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist and the proud founder of Sundaze Counselling. I’ve always had a deep passion for listening, learning, and understanding people, and I knew early on that I wanted a career that would allow me to fulfill that purpose.

When I was 13, I began to truly understand what mental health is and how deeply it can impact a person. At that age, I developed an eating disorder called anorexia nervosa, along with anxiety. During this time, I saw firsthand how our minds can influence every area of our lives—from academics and careers to hobbies, relationships, and, most importantly, how we see ourselves.

Over the years, throughout my own recovery journey, I came to realize how life-changing it can be to reach out for help through therapy. Through my personal experience and professional training in mental health, I’ve learned that when we change our way of thinking, we can transform our lives. And when we shift our behaviors from maladaptive patterns to more positive and supportive ones, we enhance our ability to face what we once feared and live more fully.
